  • The very best thing about smart phones is...call blocking. Cuts down on spam calls TREMENDOUSLY.
  • I don't usually hawk apps, but if I find a good one, I'll share it. Here's one I've been using for the past couple of months. The only downside to it is that it doesn't have a whitelist feature, so you have to cancel it out whenever an accepted caller calls. And the block calls menu sometimes gets in your way since, while a call is in progress, it is "always on top". But if you're willing to put up with a few annoyances, it's a pretty good app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=call.blacklist.blocker
  • I don't know Archie, but would you be interested in buying insurance? This is why I don't like joining those reward card things etc.
  • I had noticed years ago that every time I update my listing on the Do No Call List that I suddenly have an influx of calls. So, I've stopped updating my listing. I have my home phone transferred to my cell & I just don't answer any incoming number not in my address book. I tell anyone that I give my number to be sure to leave a message IF I don't answer so I know to add them to my contacts...otherwise I won't ever answer their call!!! Since I've started doing that, I'm getting a LOT LESS calls from spammers!!!
