how can I defend against my step-father?
I'm tired of being treated like a coward to him. He treats his blood related daughters and son better than me. My step-father always threatens to beat me up and mentally abuses me. Not even an hour ago he swung my backpack at me while calling me names as soon as he walked out. At times I want him to die in his sleep from the amount of times he hurt me. I just want to fight back when he comes up to my face and threatens to beat me up immediately. I don't want to see his face anymore and I want to be free from this because at times I feel like ending my life.

Talk to your counselor at school. But whatever you do don't let that ass win! If you take your life, he wins. If you fight back, he wins. It may seem like a long time before you graduate, but it's such a short time compared to the rest of your life! Don't let him ruin it for you. Try to keep the rules and avoid him. Talk to your mother. Try to spend more time at the library or after school activities. Get a job if you can and save up for your own place.
