What is the best medical specialty for epidemiology? (please read the description)
Hi, I was wondering if you could help me to figure something out. I am going for a MD/MPH program at USC, however I am not sure about choosing specialty, I know I'm thinking too ahead, but I want to clear some things. Is it possible to certify in three specialties other the Pediatrics/General Psychiatry/Child and Adolescent Psychiatry? I would like to do Infectious Diseases/Critical Care/Emergency Medicine. My aim is to have to be well qualified for a job either for WHO, CDC or the Army in area of controlling outbreaks and managing them (basically epidemiology). I think those specialties are best for this, combined with the MPH part of the program and undergraduate degree in Politics, as those are essential parts of the job. Is that possible at all?
