I think people who are really optimist, keep trying, and don't miss an opportunity, in a way are creating luck. I don't believe in any religion, but I think it's scientific to suppose that there could be forces, or entities out in the universe, who could influence our lives. That could also be interpreted as luck.

Luck plays a very large part in our lives but most people only get lucky by working hard to be in the right place at the right time with the right qualifications to be able to capitalize on the "luck". Lucky like winning millions in the lottery is indeed very lucky but that luck is extremely rare.

I can't speak for everyone, but in my own life ... good luck only represents a very small percentage of what I have achieved. Yes, there were the occasional "being at the right place, at the right time" events, but for the great majority of my successes I can accredit it to hard work. If you don't want to lose money ... don't gamble with it.

Hard work determines your luck. Feeling lucky is a "desirable" situation.
