I've wondered about Autobike and the Nuvinci hubs. Do they make a significant difference in effort, or is it more the convenience of not having shifts?
    • Rick Myres
It still shifts automatically. I put new tires on it three years ago.
  • I haven't had one in 42 years. It was a Huffy.
    • Jenny's Gone On Vacation
That's quite a long time. It is always interesting to see how old people are on this site. I'm assuming you are in your 50's, and that you probably got your Huffy bike from Kmart. lol
  • Bicycles don't fit me well. Haven't had one in almost 10 years.
  • I used to have a red line I bought it for 400 at a schwinn shop.
  • A mountain bike made by Mongoose.
  • I have a Raleigh 3-speed that I purchased with the savings from my first paid summer job. I haven't been on it for a number of years, though I may repurpose it as a stationary exercise bike after I clean up space for it.
  • I have never owned a bicycle.
    • Jenny's Gone On Vacation
Can your feet reach the pedals to begin with? lol
  • I have two: 1. A Trek Roscoe. It's fairly lightweight and fast enough for me. I don't try to burn rubber like I did in my twenties, and it's sturdy enough to handle most of the trails here. 2. An old Schwinn Sidewinder. That bike is much heavier and sturdier, so it can handle back trails better, but it's such a beast to get uphill for me now that I'm not in the best shape, so I hardly ride it. I had been through a lot on that bike, though, over the years.
  • Cannondale road bike and Specialized mountain bike
  • i dont have one, cant keep rny balance

    • Celifrog
I can't keep balance either and I prefer tricycles and they're fun.
  • I bought my old Kona Manamana mtn bike 20y ago, it was my best friend, it still is. Despite many thousands of km's of riding out in the wilds and rugged mountain tracks in Africa and now in New Zealand, is in perfect condition even the chain is original thanks to regular doses of White Lightening. In Feb this year, I decided to buy an e-mtb, there was a massive $1500 special on and I bought the last one in NZ! It's a Trek Power Fly and wow, can it fly! Covid, put a big hole in my riding, so did winter, but as we go into summer, I'm hoping to change that.
  • Harley Davidson. They're also called motorcycles.😆
    • Jenny's Gone On Vacation

  • I used to have a big tricycle( I am missing a bone in my feet and it makes it hard to balance) That is until I impulsively when on a 10 mile ride and wore out the living crap out of it.
  • Mine is very rusty, and the tires are flat.
  • I have an old Diamondback mountain bike from the early 90's. It's a bit dusty. I could put some air in the tires and oil the chain, and it would be good to go.
  • WalMart Chinese-made mountain bike. Made for midgets. Had to raise the seat and handlebars a LOT (bought special parts to do that), and the handlebars still aren't tall enough. . . . . It's pretty dusty at the moment. I used to ride it several times a week (for years). Then: several times a month (again: for years). Now: not at all. I expect I'll get a new, American-made bike and then maybe I'll ride more.
  • a Trek bike
  • "Giant" brand mountain bike.
  • I never learned to ride a bicycle
  • I had a Trek and an Alpina.
