Both common and book sense. But they usually rule in favor of the book sense.

I use common sence how do I know if the book is right or wrong at least with common sence I know for sure it is either right or wrong.

I use a lot of book/technical knowledge and research day to day. But common sense has taught me not to rely on the textbook version of technology. I'd say 50/50

mostly common sense though that does seem to have eluded me lately and i think books are the most wonderfull things - invented specially for me to read :)

Common sence mostly. For book sence it more knowing what the rules are and than using my common sence to know when the rules work in real life ans when the don't.
