Yes it does, and my dad is the worst!
-
Yes I think its rude. Usually the only time no one says good bye or see ya later is when they are mad & hang up in an insulting way. Or if they hang up quickly it scares me & makes me think something bad happened to them.
-
No, a lot of people are uncomfortable with phones and are wanting to get off it as soon as possible.
-
Yes! My b/f never says bye, or bite me or anything. He just hangs up the phone. I think it's rude.
-
yes I feel open ended, no closure, and as I have been slighted ! "" goobday.
-
YES. When people just say "Ok" and hang up it annoys the crap outta me. How hard is it to change that to "bye"?!!
-
Yes, what's up with that? I thought that was manners 101, maybe it's a reflection on how self absorbed we as a people can become. I am sure I am guilty in my own right too.
-
i have this when i am on the phone to the guy that looks after my cats when i am away. He always hangs up without saying goodbye. It's a really weird feeling to be on the other end of that......it doesn't irritate me it just feels weird.
-
tremendously, that simple word goodbye wraps up everything said before, conceals the whole call and avoids the other person from being abandoned. It doesn't take much but it means a lot.
-
yes it does. I'm like, "see ya later", and they just hang up!
-
Yes - at least say "Over" or "Over and Out"
-
It either irritates me or makes me feel that I said something wrong. So, I'll neurotically go through the conversation in my mind. Then decide. Usually, it's, yeah irritation.
-
Yes, I hate when people just hang up the phone without saying bye.
-
Right
-
I wouldn't say it irritates me, but I find it odd. I feel as though we didn't actually finish the conversation. It was left hanging in the air.
-
I dont like phone calls :P, usually ill just consider that maybe the phone cut off, and if not then i really wont mind lol.
-
Intensely. It's just plain rude, IMO.
-
Yes , I think it's rude and it just happened to me yesterday and it went all through me Hi msFortunate soooo good to see you + 5
-
To some degree, you are involved in "stroke economy"---social exchanges require the exchange of an appropriate number of "strokes," As long it is obvious that the conversation is ending, I'm comfortable with either party disconnecting without comment. That's not my preference, though.
-
yes, and i think its rude too
-
No. I know a woman who for psychological reasons can't bring herself to say goodbye you never know why people do this don't let it get to you.
