Can you really eat the stride gum wrappers? Is it bad for you?

From looking around the net, it seems that the wrappers are made from rice paper, which is edible, but most companies that are using rice paper as a packaging source use it as it is biodegradable, unlike plastic. If you really want to eat it you can, but I personally would not.

I would say yes because it does dissolve and rice paper is edible. Even if it is used for biodegradible purposes it still can be eaten.

All of our gum wrappers are made with materials that comply with FDA regulations for food contact materials; however, none of our chewing gum wrappers are designed to be ingested. While there’s nothing toxic in them, gum wrappers aren’t intended for ingestion and gum wrappers should not be eaten. Should you have any questions or concerns about your children ingesting gum wrappers, please contact your doctor or other health care professional." ++fyi. they're not made of rice paper

i tried doing it once, and the wrapper did not dissolve. i would never do it again.

i ate stride paper and the result was my crap was green, should i seek a doctor or just eat more paper? please answer i need to know...also, i used stride paper to roll a joint and it worked very well, is this a common thing? also, i used stride paper for a condom and it did not work too well since i am now a teenage father...f-u stride
