My dad has passed on now, but I remember I saw him tearful (I wouldn't say I saw him cry exactly...) at my grandmother's (his mother's) funeral. It was startling to me because I had not seen him that sad before that day.
-
My Dad is a big 6 foot military man. And he cries like a baby when his feelings are touched.
-
Yes
-
A few times during funerals.
-
Yes but only once after he realised he would never be able to move again. He then set about trying to make me laugh
-
Only once, It was when I told if of the horrible things that my step-dad had done to me for the past 6 years.
-
Too many times. My father is "not well", so he cried whenever he perceived things weren't going his way or we did not love him enough. I can totally understand how, for a normal person, seeing their father cry could be profound. For me, it was just frustrating.
-
No I never did. He passed away in 2001, so I never will.
-
No, I never did. He always tries to act strong, and he's good at it. I haven't seen a tear roll from his eyes yet.
-
Yes I did and it made me cry. He looked so vulnerable and I didn't think my dad could cry because he was my protector and my hero. I loved him more for seeing him doing that.
-
Yes, and it wasn't pretty. His mom from a different country was visiting us, a horrid woman but it was stillhis mom. WHen we went to the airport for their airplane ride back home, he asked me to say goodbye to her. I was 7 years old and wouldn't do it. I was glad she was going. I am so sorry I was that stubborn that day. It hurt him terribly. He cried later that night. It was awful.
-
No, I... I've never seen him cry. Ever... there are only two times I've ever heard of him crying, too... once when I was born and once when I was diagnosed with belspaulsy(spelling on that?)
-
Yes... At his fathers funeral... At the realization he is going to die because of his diseases... :-(
-
My Dad passed away in 2003. In the year 2000, the relationship between my Mum & Dad ended, quite violently, with my Dad physically pushing my Mum out of the house, and my Dad slamming the door. I then saw him cry like I'd never seen him cry before. I really do think he died of a 'broken heart.'
-
I've seen my father cried only once... When my grandmother (his mother) died (and it wasn't in the funeral but in the hospital)... We were both crying because she was a great granny!
-
Yes, only twice. Once when his father died, and the day my sister was married.
-
Yes, the one and only time I saw my father cry was while he was dying and apologizing to me for allowing me to be brought into a really screwed up family. I was the only one with him at the end, his wife(the mother) didnt have the time to stay with him. Told him to go in peace and all was forgiven :)
-
The first time was when I was in Sixth Grade and his mother died. The next time wasn't until my mom was diagnosed with Fallopian Tube Cancer and almost died post-surgery. I've seen him cry a number of times since then, mostly since my mom died.
-
Yes, I did. I was 18 year old back then. I had my abortion and experienced traumatic hemorrhage. I was almost closed to death. I didn't tell my parents because they were so strict. I was rush to the hospital. They were out of the country for a business trip when that happened. When they found out, they came home right away. When my dad saw me, he didn't say a word. He cried.. we cried.. and we just embrace each other. That was the first time I saw him cried.
-
Once. At my Grandfathers funeral. I was a 8 year old kid then and for me it was like seeing superman cry. I didnt think my father was able to cry.I imediately started crying as well.
-
Not in my 43 years!
-
1 time in 40 years, the day my Mother passed away. Through my tears, I saw his.
-
No , and never want to.
-

-
Lots of times!
-
I have never seen my dad cry. I have seen him holding back tears.
-
Maybe 3 times in my lifetime that I remeber. And all those times were because of me - Not a nice feeling at all...
-
Twice: when my mother died, and when my grandmother died.
-
I did twice, once while he was laying on a gurny getting ready to be taken into surgery to remove a cancer tumor...he cried and told me that he wasn't ready to die, all while he was hugging me. The second time was on my 31st birthday, he told me that the Doctors told him that he probably had less than 30 days to live, he passed 41 days later at the age of 59.
-
Twice... when his best friend died in a car accident and 4 days ago when his mother died .. it hurts to much to see him cry like a baby :(
-
yup 3x's once when i was 8, last yr when his mom died, and a couple of months ago, he has polio and he was in massive pain and he couldn't take it anymore.
-
The only time that I saw my father cry was at my grandfather's funeral service.
-
Not that I remember. He left when I was two and I never saw him again until I was 30 something and not much after that.
-
My dad is deceased. Back in 1993 when my cousin died he was bawling. I sure felt bad for him. He cried a lot too after my stepmother divorced him. He had depression and anxiety.
-
I caught my dad crying a couple of times. He was a puny small man and very sensitive, even to his own taking 1 hour of silence then answer a question.
