I don't think so, but the feeling is mutual.
-
yes she did & still does, even though I divorced her son. I find all my boyfriends parents love me. I'm just a great gal I guess!
-
I do not have a mother-in-law. If I did I'm sure she would hate me.
-
I think so...If not, she sure fakes it well!
-
She'd better, I'm supporting her right now. But yeah, I think so.
-
Yes mine did a lot
-
Yes..strangely enough, she does..probably because I only see her once or twice a year and I was crazy enough to marry her son! lol j/k
-
My mother-in-law is dead. I never really knew her. She lived in New Mexico and I only met her a couple of times. I don't know what she thought of me. I never met my father-in-law, he died years before I met my husband.
-
I don't have a mother in law yet, but my boyfriends mother is great. I think she likes me too?
-
Great. She's dead and I got rid of her ass of a son.
-
Oh it started off great, Now it's Annoyingly Akward.
-
She was nice then demanding. She treated her son like a baby do this do that, then Baby him some more. Then said he's your problem now after the wedding cerimony. Just terrible. When we'd have problems he'd run to her. I just could take it, I felt like I was in a competion for his affection. I divorced him. ..
-
At current, a little strained. Hubby and I are divorcing. But I like her a lot as a person. She was always very supportive of me, and remains so in some capacity.
-
Actually it's really great. My MIL is a little weird, she definitely has her issues, but overall she's really sweet and loves me a lot. She and the rest of my in-laws accepted me as a part of their family with open arms right away, and it's really only gotten better. Now if only I could say my husband felt the same way about HIS in-laws...oy. My parents are total jerks to him. My dad actually "jokingly" threatened his life TWICE the first night they met...crazy huh? But, they live in CA, his parents are in SD, and we're in MN...look at a map and you'll be able to guess which family we see more, lol.
-
Well, she doesn't have the "In Law" title just yet, but she's awesome. She's everything I hoped a MIL would be.
-
I really don't have a relationship with her - been married 4 years and she still doesn't really "talk" to me, if she can help it. It's strange - I have one with my FIL, though. He's cool.
-
We screw on Thursdays.
-
its wonderful coz i divorced her son and now I don't have one!
-
When I had one (up until about 2 years ago), we got along great. She's a very nice woman. Ironically (or maybe not), my ex-wife and I got along better with our MILs than we did with our own mothers. In fact, my mother still visits my ex fairly regularly. Life is a real trip sometimes....;-D....
-
A lot better than it used to be. Since I've gotten older, we have become closer. I was really mean to her when I was younger though. I do regret that.
-
Yeah she does and she spoils me rotten and i love her to bits. She's a kind person, a great friend, lots of fun, a real laugh, energetic, compassionate, understanding, and always on my side (i tell her there are no sides but she says of course there are and i'm on yours) She's a real gem.
-
In a word 'NO', we've not spoken for almost four years, and she hasnt seen her only two grandchildren (her choice), she only lives 2 streets away from us and is missing out on so much because she is a hard, cold, demanding, devious, dangerous, ruthless cow! Im glad i have no contact with her, she is not the type of person i would make friends with even if i hadnt married her son. She has made enemies of most of her neighbours and family, and is ending up being a very sad, lonely old woman.
-
I'm told that my mother in law (to be) loves me, and what's more- my fiance told me she never likes any of her boyfriends. She especially didn't like her ex husband, and I have all the qualities he lacked.
-
My mother-in-law loves me and treats me like a queen, and I feel the same way about her. I'm really, really lucky. My mom loved her mother-in-law better than her own mom; and her mother-in-law certainly loved her better than her own mom did.
-
I had a fantastic relationship with my mother-in-law until she passed away!
-
Yeah... She has probably put 15 lbs of fat on me just by herself... She tricks me into coming over to fix something for her, and then sits me down to visit and eat. She is a doll.
-
She did. She died before I married her son. But she asked me to take care of him. So, I do, and I love every minute of it!
-
I think so, but I think she thinks I don't really like talking to her. But it's just that she's from a different planet and says things I have no idea how to respond to. Eg, Me: "Hello" Her: "Hi, this is Gail" Me: "Hi, Gail" Her: "How are you?" Me: "I'm good" Her: "... Well, that's good. You'll never guess what I saw today" Me: "What?" Her: "A robin! I guess Spring is here" Me: "Um hm" Her: "And, when was it, yesterday? The day before yesterday, I saw a bluejay, and it scolded me" Me: "Hm" Her: "I guess robins are here to tell us that Spring is here and blue jays are here to scold us" Me: "... Hm"
-
Sure, she was tending to her aged father and her 21 year old son and I took the son off her hands.
-
I'd stick a sword in her black heart as well as her precious daughters which should tell you how we feel about each other.
-
Yes she did, as much if not more than she was capable of liking anyone. With the exception of my husband. She adored him.
-
yes,and i like her too. her name is evelyn. she has a great sense of humour and we are often found in fits of laughter together.
-
She effin loves me, then again we have the exact same personality!!!! Its kinda creepy, but she's a homie.
-
I think that my Mother-in-law has it out for me. She says things that if i come back with something the wife gets upset. My mother in law is over EVERY night and is driving me crazy. I have to find a way to get her out of my life.
-
Nope, not very well
-
She did not like me. She adored me. Each time when our family visited me, she would cook the best dishes for me. She was really a wonderful mother-in-law to me.
-
My ex-mother-in-law (and ex-father-in-law) liked me. Harry died before we divorced, and Bee still liked me (as did my ex's sisters and THEIR kids). My wife's parents died before I met her.
-
i really think she does, lol.
-
She likes me better now than she used to. When we were first married she treated me like a non-person as she knew her brilliant son would soon dump the likes of me. Surprise, surprise he didn't, so she got mad and then I had to endure her petty tricks and contempt. It was awful and I often thought back nostalgically to the good ol' days when I was a non-person. Finally she accepted the fact that we were going to stay married and worked through that a bit. Now she is more friendly and polite.
-
lol, She's not really an in-law but my boyfriend's mom does like me I guess.. She's really sweet ^_^
-
my ex mother in law and NO!
-
As far as I know she does.
-
Yes and the feeling is mutual
-
Well, I noticed in the begining that she was very passive aggressive, she would be late for gatherings, then she would side with my husbands ex. Before my husband and I got married i felt we were begining to get along, but when we decided to get married and went to tell her she said some mean things in a passive aggressive way. I let it go, then the day we got married most all the family on my husbands side did not show up, she came, and sat with her other son and new daughter in law and they all spoke bad about my family and my sister overheard the comments. Since we have been married she has yet to visit but is in town visiting her other son and daughter in law and now has decided to start haveing a relationship with my ex husbands ex wife, the ex she could not stand for the whole time they were married and even after the divorce for several years. She has basically decided to cause a huge rift between my husband and his other two brothers. I have decided not to allow her or the new daughter in law to treat me with disrespect ever again so I am refusing to go around and my husband can decide what he wants to do. His mother has had this same pattern and treated her daughters husband badly when they were married. My husband says I know how she is and he has been supporting me but has yet to have a discussion with her about disrespecting me. I am not having a talk with her because she will forgive her son but never would me. I feel that it will never get better and that I really have tried to be nice and do nice things for her and I always get slapped in the face for it and stabbed in the back so I am done. I can no longer open the door just to be treated badly
-
I've no idea - my wife never mentions her parents, so I don't even know if they're still alive, I don't know their names, and I've never met them.
-
Of course. I take better care of her after her husband died early last year than her adult son who still lives at home.
-
My ex-father-in-law said he liked me, but I never believed him. My ex-mother-in-law liked me. Neither like me now.
-
Mine loves me!
-
Mine liked me! My mom Loved my husband just like her own. We were very lucky.
-
NO OF COURSE NOT BC I STOPPED BEING QUIET AND LETTING HER RUN MY LIFE JUST LIKE HOW SHE TOOK OVER MY WEDDING AND DIDN'T EVEN LET ME AND MY HUSBAND HAVE OUR SLOW DANCE BUT SHE NEVER ADMIT DOING THAT BUT I NO 4 SURE! PLUS SHE TELLS HER SON NOT TO SPOIL ME WITH ATTENTION BUT I CHANGED HIM WERE I EVEN MAKE HIM PUT HIS ARM AROUND ME IN FRONT OF HER JUST SHOW HER, HES NO LONGER UR LIL BOY HESA GROW MEN WITH HIS WIFE NOW SO BUT OUT!
