Gargoyles, I've always loved them since I was a little kid looking at them at the top of the roof of our church.

Kitsune, because I like the tales about them.. They can appear to be human and marry human men. In my favorite tale, Taro marries one and has a child by her during the winter. When spring arrives they take the baby and hike in the wilderness. They sit to rest by a stream. Taro holds the baby while his wife gambols in the meadow. She jumps across the stream, and the wind blows up her nagajuban. Taro sees that she has a red tail with white tip. She forgot about it when she took on the appearance of a human girl. Since, he discovered her true nature, she had to leave him and return to Fairyland.
