Do you mean permanently? It doesn't matter if they are both altered. If you only alter the male he may become aggressive towards the female when she has kittens in order to protect his territory. If you keep two females and only one is altered then the altered one will be on the bottom of the totem pole and it should not be a problem. I suggest you pick the kitten with the best personality and have all your cats altered. That way they will all get along and not be lonely.

I had a female who had 3 male kittens and i kept them all there was never a problem until she came in heat, get them all done and is doesnt matter which you keep.
