They aren't written yet. Lucas doesn't have more than a few general ideas about what is going to happen. There's also the problem of all the other stories (say, from books) already playing after Ep. 6, so he'd somehow have to fit his new stories into the framework set up by all the books. He said he wasn't going to do it, and given how old he is, he's probably serious.

lucas has stated that he is relinquishing the script writing of the sequel trilogy to supershadow.com, which already has the script synopsis for episodes 7-9. in my opinion, episode 7 seems a bit weak, but 8 & 9 are just as good as the rest. the present premier date is spring of 2014, let's hope it's a lot sooner than that. as long as there is money to be made, there will be more star wars films. also in the planning stage is a tv series to debut fall of 07' or 08'. from what they say it will detail the events between episodes 3 & 4 & will only star minor characters (what no early vader?).

As far as I know the chances of there ever being a sequel trilogy are very low. SuperShadow aka Mickey Suttle is a compulsive liar who has no connection to Lucasfilm.
