Hush by Becca Fitzgerald. As this book was written first, I suspect it may have "inspired" Twilight. And, although rather different, nothing compares with the early seasons of the TV show "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer."

Linda Joy No way! Last night I had Twilight and Midnight Sun both up on my phone and I was toggling between. I only recently discovered these books on the advice of a friend. Have you read it for real?
