I think my number one pet peeve with me leaving the Kingdom Hall was when I was a child I was severely physically abused spit upon kicked and punched on a daily basis by a stepfather and a mother that claimed to be one of Jehovah's witnesses they were baptized. And when word of this reached the elders they essentially told me you must bear this for Jehovah God we must not bring reproach upon his name. Essentially shut up kid and lie! I'm not into telling lies to cover up what is wrong. I'm not going to go around the rest of my life bashing Jehovah's witnesses but I'm not going to stand on their side until they acknowledge that there's a problem and show some repentance for it. Jehovah's witnesses made some presumptuous prophecies and instead of coming out right and admitting that people made presumptuous prophecies they tried to justify those prophecies and say oh we were only talking about the end of 6,000 years of man's existence. Jehovah's witnesses taught me that I must obey God as ruler rather than man and the Bible says if a man should speak something in the name of Jehovah and it does not come to be that person has acted presumptuously and is a false prophet and you must not listen to that person further or have fear of him. Friend when I was baptized in 1975 I can't even tell you how many times we went to the door and told people that the end of 6,000 years of man's existence is coming to a close and that probably spells the coming of Armageddon and to come into the ark while you still can! I can't go through the rest of my life trying to justify what has no justification whether it be child abuse which is not been admitted to and dealt with or whether it be presumptuous prophecies. Jehovah's witnesses taught me better I learned how to study the Bible I learned how to call upon the name of Jehovah God I learned how to obey Jesus Christ and preach the coming of the Kingdom. And I'm going to do that Kingdom Hall or no Kingdom Hall. I have full confidence that the day will come that Jehovah will deal with all of our problems in the meantime I'm not going to be part of the problem I'm going to be part of the solution
