<h4 class="dechead">On One Hand: Get What You Deserve
With record collecting on the rise and the continued popularity of vinyl-friendly bands like The Beatles, antique record player cabinets are coming back into fashion. If you have one you want to sell, consult local antiques dealers to find out what they would charge. Don't settle for a lower price just to get rid of it, unless it's damaged and/or not in working condition.
On the Other: Consider Demand
In most markets, record cabinets should be somewhat easy to come by. They're a staple in most antique stores and at garage and estate sales. If supply is plenty, you'll have to lower your target price in accordance with lower demand. However, if your cabinet actually works without much need for repair and is in good condition, you should be able to get a good price for it, as many record cabinets don't work and are merely used for display.
Bottom Line
Do your research. Check online auction sites, estate sales, collector's guides and local dealers to determine the best price to charge. Don't be afraid to ask for a little more than you really want, so the buyer has room for negotiation.
