If I'm at work I say, "Hello Noah's Ark?" But if it's my cell phone I say either "hello" or "yes?"

I don't ever think giving your name over the phone to someone who might be a stranger is a good idea, a simple hello is sufficient...On my answering machine I just have a simple message to leave a message without names or numbers! Then again most land line phones have a caller ID now so you know who is calling to be safe! +++++

I NEVER answer the phone unless I reconize the name or number on the TV screen .... I have a recorded message : "All calls to this number are screened thru this srvice. At the sound of the tone; you will have one minute to leave your name, telephone number, and a brief message. One of us will return your call as soon as possible. Solicators and telemarketers ; be advised that we are on the federal Do Not Call Registry. Thank You." IF I reconize the name or number; i just pick up and say : "Hello" ... +5
