  • My thoughts exactly. AMEN Munchkin
  • You are so right.
  • Yeah, why not, people who get offended by that obviously don't know what raising a child is like (neither do i), but I still support you in this matter.
  • I agree with you. mother's have the right to feed her baby the ways she wants. if people are offended by it they should look the other way.mothers rocks.
  • It is. I had to feed my son formula because my milk dried up. It is no one's business how I feed MY child. I can't believe anyone would bother you about it. I say forget about it and raise YOUR child the way you see fit.
  • That's what boobs were "invented" for! So, whip 'em out and feed your darlings, and HELL with the nosey @ssholes!
  • I am sure you have ample beautiful bosoms and watching your little baby suckle on them is heartwarming and probably slightly arousing.
  • Oh, it's only just beginning! All of your parenting methods will be questioned or criticized by someone. Go with your instinct, and do what is best for YOUR family. Parenting is the most difficult thing we do, which is why people are so passionate about it!
  • It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or feels. Do "what you think" and "what you feel" is best for your baby.
  • I absolutely agree. It is an individual choice and which ever choice a mother makes is hers and hers alone. If someone wants to dictate the dos and don'ts..let them do it with their own kids.
  • I sure do. It seems like no matter what we do from how we feed to weather we work or how we disapline is everyone else's business. And what's really sad is it's usally mothers against mothers. We need to join together and help support each other, not tear each other down. It's hard enough to raise kids without all the bickering.
  • It is definitely a touchy subject! I was criticized and teased for returning to work and pumping. Not a good thing for a working mother suffering separation 'guilt'. Then when together, I was 'approached' by people in the mall who wanted to see my sleeping baby (who actually happened to be discreetly nursing at the time!). Just take care of your babies the way you see fit. Personally, I didn't encounter problems when bottle feeding, but I know some do. If someone has the nerve to comment about bottle feeding, tell them it's expressed breastmilk. Whether the rudeness relates to breast or bottle feeding, deflect the insult by pointing out the rudeness of the intrusion. Would they want you joining them in a restaurant uninvited?
  • I agree, its mother nature at its best. But, please be discreet.
  • It's either the people who don't have kids, or the oldies that have already raised their kids that seem to make a problem either way for the mums.
  • Are you just going to starve your baby because you are thinking about public appearance? It is YOUR right to feed your baby in public. Mothers shouldn't be shunned by society. You have to do whats best for YOUR baby. and if it needs feeding you shouldn't have any hesitation to do so.

  • I say, it's your child, and you should do what you feel is right. Just try to be as discreet as you can. Beyond that, let them just deal with it !!!!!!!!
  • you are right.she has the power to choose.
  • Lol, it's just in public that men freak out. I'm sure you know it's very important to breast feed your baby because that's where your baby gets its immunities.

  • thats true but it kinda upsets me because it seems as though the world is so twisted. I get the bad looks for trying to nurse my child in public yet men dont mind seeing women half naked or their boobs hanging all over the place. when breastfeeding a child should be appreciated coz its their life and health that is at stake. well i guess we live in a sick world where lust is a priority and feeding your babies in public is a crime..
  • Actually, it is a right. At least in NY state, where I live, it is a law on the books allowing mothers to nurse in public. Baby's gotta eat...
  • I just feel that women who breat feed their children in public with their boob hanging out is kind of disrespectful to others. If you're going to do it, please be discreet about it. But then there's always the option of pumping out the breast milk and feeding it to your child from a bottle.
  • Amin, Everyone has there own ideas. that is for sure!
  • I don't feel that way myself I breatfeed my daughter no matter what people think, and my daughter is happy. Happy daughter= major win.
