If you google your real name, how many pages down do you have to go before you find a result that is actually about you?

My RL name is fairly common but I've never referred to it online, and not one single result was about me.

I seem to be net unique. There is one picture of a four-year-old (probably now about seven) with the same name, but otherwise all references to my name are me.

Surprisingly, only 10! It was for my entry on classmates.com, which I can no longer use because my membership expired long ago and I refuse to keep paying for it. I just found out that I share a name with a middle school in Nevada, a flowering apricot and a partner in a medical team. I am also dead - I found an obituary with my name.

The first page something came up from me. I had posted a poem when I was 14 and it still shows up on the first page of google. The sixth link in fact.

well i checked it out i was born 1773 died 1858 ,i was a botanist ,and born in SCOTLAND,my microscope is in the British Museum, but alas he has my full name and it is not me but i felt good about it.and my name was the first on the page .

Nearly the entire first page is actually me. There are three links that aren't. Two of those links are my grandfather. I was named after him. The only link that isn't relevant is a "people search" website. Those sites will almost always show up in search results no matter what random name you decide to search.

I work hard to keep my name with as few hits as possible. I have less than 10. I have successfully lowered the number by asking people to not use my name where possible. I only have a few business things out there.

I'd be going through it for more pages than I can be bothered to count! I share my name with a character in a tv programme, in addition to a few high level people.

Scarily, its the first one on the first page! Mind you from googling, and facebook searching, there's only me and one other person with my name, so I guess it's to be expected.
