Wife and i married each other way back in 1965. in 1966, we went to The Tennessee State Fair. at the fair, was one of those small photo booths you have stated. we had our photo taken. it was only black and white then. We did not attend the fair for many years after this. In 1995, we decided to once again go to The Tennessee State Fair. the same man with same little photo booth was there. we could not believe it. We were going to once again have our photo made, this time in color. As we were waiting for the film to be developed, my wife punched me and said, "hey honey. look at this. they have our black and white photo as a big display to advertise his photo booth". we were amazed. amazed at our photo being on his booth for all these years and amazed at how my wife and i had changed looks. We did not object to our photo being shown throughout the United States. it, actually, was a sort of honor. That was a good memory for us to remember forever. So, yes we did have our photo taken in one of those little photo booths.

Yes! Good times!
-
Yes. I have. It was an emergency and I needed 3 copies of my passport size photographs. There was no time to go to a proper studio. The booth was right there. I got my photo taken and the prints were ready in 5 minutes flat!

Yes I have, but it's been years. I wonder if those booths have a future since they came out at a time when Polaraoids were the only way to get instant pictures.

Yes, a bunch of times! There were the sweet innocent pics with my friends and kids, and the not so innocent ones for the hell of it. I'm sure if someone went back and reviewed THOSE photos they got a thrill!
-
nope.. im camera shy

Aye aye. My boyfriend and I were making faces and putting out hands in perverted places, I can just imagine what all those little old ladies were thinking when they looked at the previewing shots outside the booth ha ha.

Nope. Don't see them around much. +3

Yes, many many many moons ago. :-)

Most definitely! Hailing back to my high school days and trips to Niagara Falls, Ontario, when 3 of us would squeeze into a booth. One of us would shout out, "Funny face!" then, "Scary face!" etc. etc. and we'd all die laughing checking out those pics afterwards --- ah, them's the days, folks...

I would be shocked to find a person over 20 who hasn't at one point in time. :)

Yes. It is quite a rage for the younger population in Japan.

Like most teenage boys growing up in the 70s I wore my hair long - shoulder length, and probably also like most teenagers, my Mom was always nagging me to get it cut. Right after high school I joined the Navy where of course it was all shorn off at boot camp. We weren't allowed off-base during boot camp but there was a rec. hall with a TV, pool tables, a few vending machines & one of those photo booths. So I got a picture of me in all my shaven-headed glory and sent it to my Mom.

Do they still have those? I thought they met their demise in the 1960s...
-
No. Offhand: I don't even remember SEEING one of those, though perhaps in my youth I saw them and wondered why anyone would waste their money...
-
Yeah, they were fun!
-
Yes, for passport & driving licence.
