Depends. I have a weird habit of just facing off into the distance, i just glance at their face and then go off focus and turn my head away.

I look around... and sometimes right in the eyes or at least the face...but I have trouble staring someone in the eyes and its not because I am dishonest like some people believe it means... its because its uncomfortable for me! +5

It largely depends on who it is & how interesting they are. I used to very careful about maintaining appropriate levels of eye contact etc, now tho if they're dull I've just let me eyes wander off into the distance or start looking around the room.

It depends on whom I am addressing. I try to look where it will make the other person most comfortable. Sometimes their eyes, sometimes their hands, sometimes our surroundings. Looking someone in the eye is really not a cultural constant. In mainstream culture in the US and Europe, we expect people to look us in the eye. In many societies, looking someone in the eye is considered to be very aggressive or rude (many places in Asia, many indigenous tribes in the Americas, etc.),
