Actually last weekend I went to a guys wedding. He is hawiian(spelling) so yes there was an authentic pig roast going on.

It is called kalua pig (kalua means cooked or baked). The oven is an imu. The party is a luau. We have luau all the time with kalua pig and hulihuli chicken. Sides of taro, ulu, and haupia. Talk about ono! For an interesting twist, do kalua turkey for Thanksgiving ;)
