I think that though this is a stereotype, it is one that is not as pronounced as it once was. Tongue piercings are getting so popular that a lot of what once was thought about it, really isn't. Honestly, as a girl who has her tongue pierced, yes it is perceived as slutty. Often, slutty girls are the ones who have it pierced. [This does not mean they know how to use it, so don't get too excited.] Personally, I like the mystique involved in having my tongue pierced. I talk perfectly fine, am not rude as people like to assume and most people don't notice it. It gives me a kick to have a piercing no one knows about and watching people get shocked when they see it is too funny. It can be a personal piercing that is for your admiration and as an option to get something besides your nipples or worse... I've known plenty of VIRGINS with their tongue pierced. Everyone gets piercings for different reasons. Don't make assumptions, it's just easier that way.

I myself had mine done because I have always liked how they look not because I wanted the sexual attention from other people. But to answer your question, yes I think quite a few guys will assume that tongue piercings are a sure sign of promiscuity. Don't worry about what other people think of your tattoos or piercings. Do it because you want it. If I let other peoples opinions stop me from getting a tattoo or piercing I wouldnt have as many as I do and I don't regret any of them. Tongue piercings ARE sexual piercings. That's just fact. If that means a woman with a tongue piercing is using her tongue on many different men, is impossible to know.
