Yes Yes and Yes again - I know just how you feel
-
Let me think Um yes, I had that feeling the last time I tried to... or, wait that wasn't it. Or was it? Oh never mind.
-
All the time
-
Yes, several times, when I joined the Navy I was learning to speak English at the same time and it was awful. Too many bad experiences, and lots of people that tried to help me and that I wanted to talk to, but couldn't tell them what I wanted to say.
-
Frequently.
-
Not so much the not being able to say what I mean. It's the being able to say what I mean without offending anyone.
-
Yes, usually when this happens I stop and just breathe deeply for a bit to bring myself "present", relax, and take a little extra time before speaking or writing.
-
All the time. My brain misfires alot so it's easy for me to get stuck.
-
Nope. I'm pretty blunt. I usually get it all out there. =)
-
Not that often. I usually think things through before stating a fact or an opinion.
-
Yeah, its a total bummer.
-
Unfortunately yes I have. Something might sound great in my head but when I try to express the thought it just comes out all wrong. This only happens occasionally but when it does...blahh...it stinks.
-
yes, and it is usually when I am on answerbag. . .:(
-
All the time :) And I HATE just having to keep changing how I say it over and over agian until the thick headed person I'm saying it to finally understands it ;)
-
No, I'm hardly ever at a lost for words.
-
I think that it happens to everyone. The way in which you say will be different when you speak.
-
Only in foreign lands.
-
yes, and then you think you said it right... because you were thinking it and it sounded right... but when it comes out of your mouth it doesnt make as much sense, or you cant think of the words that were just in your head.
-
Too frequent to remember all of the times it has happened. But yes I have often felt the sting of frustration because I am able to express my thoughts more clearly with the written word - open my mouth and it all seems to tumble out wrong!
-
I think that this has to happen at least once to everyone. In my personal experience it becomes frustrating when im translating from Spanish to English. Being that Spanish is my native language, however, my mind processes in SpanGlish Mode :S So i have to think of what im gonna say and how i want to say it.

I call them brain poots, in my mind something really smart is getting ready to come out of my mouth but what comes off my lips is a different story. It usually happens when I'm around someone really cute. I really get stupid then & blank minded. Trip over my tongue as Judge Judy calls it.
-
Yes, especially on acid. Then it's ni impossible.
-
Yes all the time, mainly when I try to tell someone to do something propery just because it should be done properly cos if its not done properly it will have to be done properly again
-
yes all the time, my brain explodes.
-
Sometimes. Here at AB and in the real world I have found if you have a strong opinion about something and it is not soft and fluffy and in sync with the mainstream line of thought you may get harshly criticized for it, even if it is your heartfelt sincere opinion.

Beat Covid, Avoid RepublicansThat is true all over the world. It also happens online because you are in front of strangers and you can't see them. Visual cues are often our best indicator of how to continue.

-
One of my biggest problems in life..lol
-
Always! I never get it right.
-
Yes, I recently moved here from Puerto Rico and I find myself thinking in Spanish but talking in English and sometimes it makes no sense.
-
Yeah...I mean like...you know...when you want to say that....well, what I meant to say in a nutshell is that...sometimes when you're tired or distracted it's hard to put it into words...ya know what I mean...?
-
you mean like right now?
-
oh yes, and it sucks even worse when you try to say what you mean and it comes out all wrong and that person is offened.
-
I used to sugar coat things so it was really difficult to say what was really on my mind. but after being with my man for so long, I decided its just easier to be honest but not bitchie. always speak the truth.
-
Like sometimes you know what you want to say but can't say it because you are afraid to, yes I know that feeling well. I have lost friends over it too.
-
Not often, but it has happened a time or two.
-
As far as I know, not since I was a child. I think in terms of words that I know, and I can put those words together into an intelligible sentence. The only "frustration" I feel in that regard - a common one - is when I want to use a PARTICULAR word, and I KNOW the word exists, but I can't remember it.
