I have been competitive with the running off and on for over 25 years. Frequency is not as important as some people think. Some nonrunners assume it is something you have to do every day. Frequency is a good thing if your commitments allow it, but that is rare. I have had to adapt to as little as once a week, 20 mile runs. Other times I can do shorter distances 3 to 6 times a week.

I jog from the living room to the computer room every day. I jog very slow, however.

Never. In the summer I use an elliptical trainer. In the winter I walk. I do it 3 to 4 times a week.
