*Accused*, or *Found probably guilty*? Everybody deserves a hearing - you should not sack people just on an accusation, which may be malicious. The hearind should be held quickly, and the priest kept away from young girls until it is heard. If guilty, of course he should be sacked.

Accusation is one thing,..facts are another. Everyone deserves a hearing. There have been some much publicised offenses by priests. There have also been some false accusations. Same goes for teachers. I know of many false accusations, but the damage was done. Little girls can be evil creatures as well.

If the accusations are proven valid, yes. Any other organization would.

You've described a person who is not a priest but an imposter. If this activity (whatever grooming a girl for sex means) is discovered the Church should suspend the poser priest and involve law enforcement. When any allegations are proved law enforcement should proceed with prosecution and the church should break any ties with this "priest."

As with anyone, he should be assumed innocent until proven guilty. If he is guilty, then definitely yes. Either way, the matter should be thoroughly investigated.

I have been accused of all sorts of shit (although not of grooming a 13 yr old girl for sex). I assume the church has proof. If so, sack away. If not, demand it. If it does not exist, tell the accuser to get lost.

I think any proven case of sexual harassment or molestation of anyone on the part of a priest should result in the guilty priest being excommunicated from the Church and arrested. Harassment and molestation are crimes, so treat them like crimes. With priests who are supposed to be religious leaders and who take sacred vows when they become priests, such behavior is even more appalling, imho. I don't understand how relocation could be a justifiable punishment. If you break your vows, don't worry we'll just put you somewhere else? I'm sorry, but that doesn't seem right.
