G'day Kuyakev, Thank you for your question. Splenda is also known as Sucralose. Its formula is by the selective chlorination of sucrose (sugar), by which three of sucrose's hydroxyl groups are substituted with chlorine atoms to produce 1,6-dichloro-1,6-dideoxy-β-D-fructo-furanosyl 4-chloro-4-deoxy-α-D-galactopyranoside or C12H19Cl3O8. This makes it 1,000 times sweeter than sugar. I have attached sources for your reference. Splenda is the trademark name for the artificial sweetener sucralose. Sucralose is made by taking common sugar (sucrose) and chemically altering slightly. It is so sweet (on the order of 600x sweeter than sugar), that the majority of Splenda is actually 'bulking agents' (dextrose and maltodextrin). Many people prefer the taste of Splenda to that of other artificial sweetenters. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sucralose

Splenda has three ingredients, dextrose, maltodextrin, and sucralose. These are very harmful ingredients that cause cancer. Stay away from splenda!

Sucralose. It's about the only sweetener allowed to people on low carb diets. Fortunately, it tastes pretty good.
