G'day Grtravels, Thank you for your question. I suspect that there would be a marked increase in relationship breakdowns and violence as people react to what other people are thinking. On the other hand, it would probably save some time as customer service officers can serve us much more efficiently. Waitresses would know what we wanted before we ordered for example. Regards
-

If it were at will, it would be a different story but if just every thought of every person you come across... it would probably make your mind explode. And really, you would probably hear some really gross and scary thoughts. I think I would rather not have that one. It's not my business when you have to use the restroom or any of that business.
-
I would get very embarassed!
-
Someone did. This question has already been asked. Edit: Now that this has been merged with the one that was originally been asked, my answer would be, nuthin' but trouble. Especially at a party where two women show up in the same outfit. :)

MAJOR HEADACHE. If we could read each other's minds, then we could get really mad. If somebody was saying bad things to you in your head and you knew it, you would get kind of upset. We would also have a hard time thinking, etc.
-
i would be complete chaos for many years until poeple started frowing up that way and knew no other way of dealing with other people. i'd say it would take abot 5 to 7 generations before it was simply normal and people that were born without the ability might have some difficulty getting by in life as if they were deaf.
-
Some people have this ability, like twins they can comunicate without speaking to each other. The eyes are the windows too the soul and some people not very many have this gift.
-
I think sometimes we can already with people we are close to.
-
Even more fights and wars than there are now.
-
I think we'd adapt to the fact that our minds could be read. Like someone said, we'd develope thicker skins. Everyone would get used to it, just like another form of communication. I bet it'd feel like living in a glass house though, no where to retreat to be alone.
-
What? You mean you guys can't?

-
It would be chaotic. We would all be beating each other. I think its best if we just keep our thoughts to our selves.
-
No one would talk, and we'd pretty much live our life in fear of fear of fear of fear of fear of fear of fear of fear of fear...
-
A wonderful thing! Honesty. We would have no way to be dishonest, so we could trust with no fear. No one would be sent to prison unless they were guilty, and no one would be released unless they were truly safe for society. No child molesters would ever be able to get away with hurting a child. Politics would be a whole new game, with real solutions being offered for real problems. All of the things that are wrong would be evident and we would be able to fairly address each case. Greed would also take a major hit. The wealth would be spread more evenly. The whole world would benefit, and I can't see a down side at all.
-

-
There would be a lot MORE divorcing and a lot LESS marrying.
-
This is a great question. I think it would be horrible on so many levels. People would intentionally think certain thoughts to manipulate other people. And they would do it so much that they would forget what kind of person they were. This is my "about to go to bed" answer. I'm not quite sure about the logic of it. Sounds pretty good to me, but, I'm tired, so.....
-
You wouldn't be asking this question... :-)
-
I have some pretty cynical thoughts, so sometimes people would be mad at me. Other times, it would help because they could know things that I couldn't figure out how to tell them.

-
First, everyone would be shocked and grossed out by the stray thoughts everyone else was having. Then, they would realize everyone else was shocked and grossed out by the stray thoughts THEY were having. Then, after everyone is mutually shocked and completely grossed out, we can all finally live in peace and acceptance of all of our disgusting sick diversity. :)
-
I would be in major trouble all the time.
-
I think that we would be able to let people know how we really felt and they may not understand all of our thoughts but how many times have you wanted to tell somebody something and you just couldn't form the right words? Also our thoughts form faster in our heads than we can form them by mouth and by the time they come out of your mouth they really aren't the same thoughts or you've already lost track of what you wanted to say because your mind has already moved past it? I think it would be a world that could function much better and on more levels. We'd also know people's intentions and there would be less terrorism.

-
3 Simple words.!!! "..KAOS..KAOS..KAOS.."
-
We'd all go crazy and kill each other, there'd be too many voices in our heads at once and I don't think our brains could cope. I'm going on the assumption that you automatically read everyone around and had no control over it.
-
All people would know other people aren't talking about them. All people would realize there is no reason to assume so much. All people would be unified and one.
-

-
All hell would break loose.....
