Yes, but they taste better on the stove.
-
Yep. but they are soooo much better on the grill.
-
Yes, My son does it all the time. Just did it last night! :-) +5
-
Absolutely. Just score them so that they don't pop, and don't overcook them.
-
Sure, they just won't taste as good as if you cooked em on the grill.
-
i meeean yeah it's totally fine but definitely not as good as on the grill
-
Sure, but they're better on the grill like these other ABers said. No matter how I cook them though I like them a little burnt.
-
Yes, in fact most sausages in packages (not shrink wrapped in meat trays) are pre-cooked and can be eaten raw (like bologna).
-
Illegal in 38 states, but the law is rarely enforced...
-
The worst thing that can happen is they might pop open and get juice on the walls. Poke them with a fork first and put them on a paper plate.
-
Sure I love them like that. I split them open and put cheese on them.
-
yes it is. keep checking them though, they dont take long! When the hotdog bursts or a split appears it is cooked.
-
Yes it is. that's the only way I cook them in the winter months. Don't forget the cheese!
-
We do them on the grille in the summer. In the winter in the microwave, and they are fine.
-
I wouldn't cook hot dogs period because .... drum roll please .... I LOVE MY STEAKS!!!
-
OF COURSE! In fact I love mine in the microwave, only cuz the outside pops alittle bit...and gets kinda REAL DONE. LoL, I like that...(weirdo here)...I dont see why its not ok. Ya warm em up in the mic dont ya?
-
yeah just put them in there for like 30-40 sec, you have to keep an eye on them though because if you have them in there for too long they can explode
-
It's not OK to do that, why? You are doing yourself a disfavor by first of all eating a hotdog in the first place, cause we all know what they are made of and second, too cook it in a microwave is taking something bad and making it even worse...With personal opinion aside yes, you can make a hotdog in the microwave but you have to put it in a microwavable glass with water in it, it's like boil it on the stove in water...
-
You must cook them for at least 15 minutes.(based on a 1000 watt oven)
-
You can cook hot dogs in the microwave. They have plastic microwaveable plates that you can put the hot dogs on and cook them or you can just use any dish the microwave will not melt ... however not for 15 minutes ... your hot dog will explode. Put it on for a couple minutes and watch it. you will see it start to expand and maybe tear along the edges. After you get used to your microwave you'll know how long to put foods in there for without totally ruining them. But if it was me I'd just put them on the grill. Take care and happy microwaving.
-
Yes.... don't forget to put the kraut on top!
-
YES.
-
If I'm not mistaken, hot dogs are already cooked when you buy them in a pack at the store. It's just the heating up process which you can do any way.
-
If you put little holes in them.
-
yeah i do it all the time! don't forget the water!
-
Yep, I do it all the time.
-
Who doesnt cook them in the microwave?
-
Sure. Cut a few slits in them first so they don't explode. +5
-
yes, but nuke them for one minute, then let them sit for 2 to 5 minutes, then finish them. They'll be a lot less burned and dried in places like they come out if you just nuke them the full time all at once. Hamburgers are like that too, especially.
-
Not if you want your microwaves to smell like dog for a week.
