I was making minimum wage which was only about $3.35 hour.

I was working at Costco at the time, so I was making about 10 bucks an hour...plus they pay time and a half on Sundays which was pretty nice.

I worked at the Sky Dome vending food for the Toronto Blue Jays. It was 1998. I was making $7/hour plus commission, so, maybe $100 a day. But it would fluctuate and I didn't work every day.

At 18 I was in the US Navy. The year was 1957. I was paid $109 per month including my sea duty pay (E3). I was stationed at Pearl Harbor, Territory of Hawaii. Hawaii was not yet a state.

I was doing pretty well back then. I was making $9-10/hr in 1988 doing translation work for an IT firm developing projects for the French Minitel, a precursor to the internet as we know it today.

Can't remember, Zack ... but not muchLOL! It's a long time ago. I was living in Perth, WA. I think I had 2 jobs while I was 18: one was collecting the cash and cleaning vending machines - mainly pinball and juke boxes in those days. But the main job was working as a junior clerk for WA Government railways: I quite enjoyed that job. Pity they had to toss me out for missing too many work days!! Just when, as They said, I was setting new records for discovering inaccuracies in the rail charges. Oh ... the ironies of life!

That would have been 1981, and I was going to community college and living at home. I worked in a small bookstore that somehow got away with paying under minimum wage. It was under 3.00 and hour and part-time.
