Some dogs do for tracking purposes. I don't think I could do to that to an animal though. I suppose the very expensive purebreads that have papers up the kazoo and win "Best in Show" are expensive costing thousands of dollars and perhaps their owners might do it to protect their investments. :)

I'm not much for conspiracy theories, but I do have a friend that does... And she believes, and by believe I mean she will hurt you if you tell her she is crazy (and I have the brusies to prove that statement), that the streaks in the air that jets leave behind are actually thousands of millions of microchips being released into the atmosphere and the pretty streaks are designed for us to look up at them so the microchips could go into our noses, eyes or open mouth... (Twisted huh?) Also, she believes, see previous definition for believe, that they are also found in potato chip bags as well... That is all that I can think of that she has told me... On a positive note though, it is a phenomenally good idea to put the chip in your dog... I personnaly can testify to four different times that the chip has saved the day...
