Properly prepared carp is very good but almost nobody knows how or takes the trouble to prepare it.

carp is very oily and smoke's well I've eaten smoked carp wasn't bad.

No. I used to catch carp as a kid ... tastes terrible.

Yes, I have eaten it in the past. It really depends on where you fish for them as they often will taste of their 'environment'. But they are tasty if they aren't too dirty.

No, don't like to eat that particular fish, but ......... when you take carp roe and mix it with lemon, olive oil, onion, and maybe a few bread crumbs, it becomes a delicious caviar dip. The Greeks call it Taramosalata. Eat it with vegie sticks (celery, cucumber)or as a topping to bread, pita bread, or with anything else you like. Been doing this for years and years. I Cr 13:8a

I have never eaten carp, and I have never seen it for sale. As I don't go fishing then the chance of me eating carp is pretty low.Also I don't fancy it :)

I haven't in 50 years so far so probably not. Illegal to put them back in the river here.
