No cos when people do it to me it actually bugs me cos I thought someone had something interesting to say about my answer, then all you get is thanks! No thanks haha
-
It's not necessary to me.
-
no
-
Not at all...:o)
-
It's nice, but unecessary.
-
Not at all. But it is nice, and I try to give a thanks to everybody that answers my questions.
-
I prefer a thougtful response if I gave a thougtful answer. Just saying thanks seems like they feel forced to say something, so they go with the minimal. But if I'm just kidding around or being a smartass, I don't mind.
-
NOT AT ALL BUT WANT SOME COMMENTS ON MY ANSWER.5
-
No, but its better than "dude you suck!" Thanks shows you value an opinion.
-
I actually think it's a waste of time. That's what points are for. But I do love actual responses.
-
Not really but I have noticed that some people will thank all their friends who have answered their question and ignore everyone else.
-
I think it's nice to tell someone more than just "thanks" when they take the time to answer your question.
-
I don't expect no..but, its only polite :D
-
I think being thanked for my taking the time to answer someone's question is proper and polite. I thank the people who answer my questions and I absolutely expect to be thanked for giving my answers. It is rude to do otherwise.
-
No, not from the asker of the question. It's great to get a comment, question or even just a "lol" or smile but a "thanks" on its own - naah - thats what points are for.
-
I have no expectations from anyone.People have never lived up to my expectations.
-
I don't expect any feedback.
-
I don't expect!
-
No.. not at all - in fact, i find it a little irritating - cause then I have to go through the comments boxes thinking I have some helpful little comment, only to find it is a 'thanks'. Then I have a dilemma - do I respond to the 'thanks' with a 'you're welcome' or just leave it? Oh dear - it is so difficult.
-
I don't expect it, but it is nice to get one.
-
Instead of thanks, some persons write some unexpected remarks. I will be still willing to receive such things.
-
No. It's not necessary at all. When I first started using Answerbag a lot, I used to say thank you to everyone I could who answered my questions. After awhile, it got old. I did mean it every time and I still do. That doesn't change that it still got old. I've moved on and like more creative responses to answers now.
-
I do not expect one but comments are nice.
-
No.
-
No, but I like points!
-
Never........expect anything from others.......
-
not at all - that would get quite annoying
-
Yes,I actually do,I answer those that answer my questions,I expect the same in return!
-
I never expect a thanks.
-
I'm happy just not seeing *reported* on any of mine. 🙄
-
No, but I do expect the respect I afford all humans. If you don't like the question skip it. I figure if you answer it you liked it well enough to engage. That's enough for me.`
-
Never thought about it. Now that you asked I don't expect a thank you. Answering the question is satisfying enough.
-
I think it's polite, so I will do it, if I've asked questions or use the like button, and if I want to comment I will. But I don't expect it from others, horses for courses, we all have differences of opinion.
-
its kind if some one takes the time to thank you ,its decency....... 15th july 2022....↓ this site is FAULTY..... i just checked now to see if a YELLOW Circle with a tick was next to questions, to say if i had answered the question, there was no tick on a couple i checked , and yet i had answered them!!!!!!!
-
no
-
Why not? Saying thanks makes people feel appreciated. It can increase their feelings of happiness and positivity.
-
Look at all these people who we don't see much of any more on this forum. I don't expect any thankyous for answering a question. Questions and answers is the sole purpose of this site. That's why we joined up. IMHO 10/21/24
-
No. IDT people read them.
