Yes I donate them to the local church who give them to those who really need them.

Yes I do...I don't give them the damaged ones.. Those which have gone small ( I mean Which can't fit me) are meant for the poor and needy.

Yes ~ mostly into the Childrens Cancer Society clothing bins at shopping centres and schools etc. Also Freecycle.

Oh yes! Many times. There was a family of my daughter's friend. I used to give them a lot my child's clothes when she outgrew them, until this family moved out of state. Now we pack the clothes up and send to my hubby's niece in Arizona. Yes, we pay for the shipping. :)

Yes. When my kids were young I usually dropped them in a box to help others. I gave about 90% of my old clothes away a few months ago. I didn't realize I had so many that I couldn't wear until I saw how much space was left.

First--This is giving of another sort; but related to you question. An organization not far from me collects unwanted clothing or ripped clothing. They haul it to an old building where handicaped Adults Wash the clothing; Remove all the buttons and Zippers; or other fasteners; then Dry the clothing. They turn the clothing into Industrial Rags--these are used for cleaning in mechanic shops. Another American Idea and they create jobs. take care
