For the most part, I am not one to provide financial aid to charitable organizations. Too many times, they are run like a businesses. I do, however, donate a substantial amount of funds directly to people I know to be in need through no fault of their own. I don't get a tax write-off for it, but I don't care. If I were to lean towards a charitable organization, however, it would be to the Make a Wish Foundation and the kettle of the Salvation Army. +5...my "donation" to you, Zack...as substantial as AB will allow. :-)

There are a lot of worthy charities out there. It's impossible to give to them all...however, every year I donate to 5 specific charities for 5 reasons. 1. Hospice of Southern WV for the wonderful care to my grandmother in her last month. 2. Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in honor of my nephew. 3. American Cancer Society for my wonderful mother-in-law 4. American Heart Association in memory of my father-in-law 5. SERVE shelter for abused women and their children in memory of Jane. If only she had found such a place, she might still be alive today. Thanks for the question. +5
