I can only mention two cultures that accept burping: the Inuit and Filipino cultures.

Normally at Inuit/Eskimo, and some European cultures, it's normal to burp AFTER the meal. I'm not sure that George W. Bu$h state dinners could be considered a culture.

In some Middle Eastern countries, it's no big deal to burp or fart at the table. It is a sign of satisfaction, making the host feel good to know that guests are well fed.
