I have... just the pure loss of life does that to me sometimes...
-
yeah i cry sometimes thinking about all the people that are dieing or even just suffering right now.

I did not know one of the victims in Up State NY that lost their life the day a half crazed mad man opened fire on them in a Civic Center.........I cried at the lost of life, normal I think it shows a level of compassion that most humans hold in their heart. Yes I think it is very normal!
-
yeah. but that is only because i know what they are going through and how painful it is.

The loss of a human life is always tragic. There is absolutely nothing wrong in empathy.
-
Yes, it's called empathy, and it's a good thing.
-
yes. I have cried all day over the pitcher the LA Angels lost to a drunk driver today. I know that there are stories like that everyday, of people that no one knows, people who won't make the news or headlines, whose lives mean just as much as his did. I didn't know him, just as I don't know the others. But the sadness of it just swallows me. I have only lost my Grandmother and her brother and sister in my lifetime. That was bad enough. But I know those who have been ravaged by deaths in their family and within their friends and I don't know how they cope. I know they have to. I understand that. i suppose it's because I have this disease I have. I worry that it will be my family, mourning me. And it hutrs me to think of my family and children crying over me that way. I do know this though. I would NOT want to be a person that was unmoved by death of someone I didn't know. I would never want to be that person. I don't have anything against them. it's just not who I am comfortable being. Anyway, it's normal for me to cry.
-
Oh yes, especially where children are involved. It's heart wrenching.
-
We are all connected. More than most people realize. Yes it's normal and beautiful. :)
-
It can certainly happen - and be a perfectly natural and caring thing. I remember back with Princess Diana was killed in that car crash. I saw glued to the television through ALL of the coverage and cried several times! For some reason, it really hit me hard. You would have thought she was a member of my family when clearly I'd never met her. So yes, there are times when a death or deaths - no matter if we know them or not - hits us JUST BECAUSE we are human. Veterans. Accident victims. Someone who was simply "too young". Our tears are our HUMANITY speaking and that's a good thing.
-
Sure that's normal. You have a heart, that is called empathy.:)
-
No
-
No.
-
Sure, but I think that depends on the individual. What might be normal for one person my not for another. For me, many things touch my heart and I wouldn't want it any other way.
-
Sure it is. If you feel moved by someone's experience, be it a stranger or even in some story, it shows your compassion and feelings for others. I'd be more worried about those that stay unmoved with the death of others.
