Good question, I'd definitely be more surprised if we're alone, there are billions of stars up there & I refuse to believe that humans are unique in our existence.

If, by some technological miracle we were able to scan the entire universe and find ourselves alone I'd think that we, as a species, would find it utterly devastating.

Either route evolution or creation, I can't imagine why anyone would assume we are alone.

ARE alone ... ... we have not even counted all of the galaxies that there are, yet ... and each of the galaxies we have found, even the small ones, have a billion stars or more, each ... while we may or may not like the type of life forms we eventually encounter, it is far more likely that we are NOT alone ... ... google the "Drake Equation" ...

I would be severly disappointed if we determined we are alone in the universe. All those scif-fi stories I enjoy would lose their appeal. However, I agree with the others that it is a very slim possibility that there is no other life out there. I would also be disappointed if we never found other intelligent life, even if it didn't like us.

I would be thrilled to find that we are not alone. I would be shocked and dismayed if we were ever to prove that we are alone. I have very few things that I wish for before I die. One on them is some sort of contact with others we share the creation with.

since 31,000 scientists working for BUSH FOUND OUT MAN WAS'NT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CAUSE OF GLOBAL WARMING. THE ONLY INTELLECTURAL LEFT WOULD BE ALIENS THAT BUILT WHATEVER TO GET RID OF ALL SPECIES ON EARTH TO TAKE IT OVER BY USEING NATURE.
