Only if you want to watch different channels on the different televisions. : ) For each television that you want independent control over, you will need a satellite receiver. This is also the case with digital cable.

It is no longer the case that you must have a receiver for every TV to have individual channel selection. Both satellite services now offer receivers which have two tuners built in and can give you true picture-in-picture capability or allow you to run a second TV (without an additional receiver) with independent programming. I find that this serves a third TV well when that TV is hardly ever watched, such as in a guest bedroom. This is not the end of it either. A company called Digeo is trying to come up with a satellite box which will serve a whole house. I believe that they currently have technology available only for cable. You can find them at Moxi.com
