Lemon juice, dill, and butter. As a side dish, I like steamed new potatoes or rice pilaf, though salmon's rich flavor stands up well to a risotto. I also like a good sauce with salmon. I have one made with sour cream, mustard, and dill. Almost any vegetable side dish works well with fish.

I like my fish in a taco. Hot salsa, and all the trimmings for me

With battered and fried fish I like tartar sauce. I have several ways I fix tuna fish, mixed in with mac and cheese and frozen peas, in a tuna salad for sandwiches or as a dip, in a garden salad or pasta salad, in ramen noodles with a sheet of nori, and mixed vegetables, etc. It pairs well with hush puppies, cornbread, mac and cheese, cole slaw, many people like corn on the cob with it, some like seafood sauce and lemon, I don't. And a drink of their choice, of course. Now I'm hungry for a cold pasta salad with tuna fish and frozen peas.

Your tuna, mac 'n cheese, and peas mixture sounds like a tuna casserole. I need to make one of those someday soon - it sounds good. Invite me over so I don't have to - I'll bring the milk of magnesia.

I prefer battered fish of some kind. It has nothing to do with the taste or texture - I like fish of all kinds. I just have a preference for deep-fried food. I don't care what it is...fish, chicken, pork, whatever - make mine deep-fried. I also prefer butter. Most people like tartar sauce, but McDonald's burned me out on that. Ordering a fish sandwich, they cheat you on the cheese (I don't know how many have noticed, but you pay for a slice of cheese and they only give you half of a slice), and to distract you, they put so much tartar sauce on it that it drips on the laps of 4 out of 5 people sitting at your table. For sides, I like potato wedges or anything potatoey. If a vegetable is part of the deal, lettuce and tomato would round out things perfectly.
