Italian... I feel like I always know what I am getting, no matter if it is a restaurant I have been to before or not. Pasta is pasta. I also don't feel it repeating in my stomach afterwards.

Mexican..but ONLY from the lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas....they just don't know how to fix it elsewhere as well...and I have eaten Mexican in many states and even in Canada....just doesn't shine a light to Rio Grande Valley...

If I'm going out, I like to go for things I can't do better myself at home. Most of the time I go to a nice Sushi Bar for this reason. I do love Mexican, but avoid it like the plague since most anything there is guaranteed to be a fat ass on a plate.

it all depends on the kick I'm on - and the food craving. I like Mexican for lunch. Chinese for take out or delivery. I would never say no and tend to choose Italian. My most recent fad is tapas-style dining. I love almost all kinds of food, and I pride myself on being a foodie because I was raised in the restaurant industry.

There are plenty of "ok" Italian places, but a really really good one ranks up there pretty high. In my area, there are lots of good Mexican places so those are the ethnic places I would tend to go to more often.
