I have trees all around my house too, the closest ones would be around 10 ft, actually I have a Meyer Lemon tree about 6 feet from the house, but that one stays fairly small so I'm not sure it qualifies. I do have a big African Sumac tree about 10 feet from the house and it gives some nice shade but I swear one day I'll chop that messy thing down and replace it with a Sissoo tree (Indian Rosewood). I also have another Sissoo tree growing about 10 feet in front of my house and that one will be big in 5-10 years, but I like it.
