Quite a few I would imagine, and a lot of the others are students. People do not need to have degrees to answer on here, I have the papers but know nothing about almost everything particularly any of the electrical and IPod stuff or Games And I cannot type either
-
I am a preschool teacher, but I am not sure that counts.
-
Hmmm, well, I have taught but my occupation is not teacher or professor. As for the type of teaching I have done and still do at times, I think instructor might be a more approrpriate description.
-
Future history professor right here. That's my plan anyway. I've been giving a lot of though on what my masters thesis will be, so I feel like it's somewhere in the future for me.
-
I am (or was until I hurt my back) a hairdresser. I am also blonde (a natural blonde). I don't have a degree in anything, yet. I am currently in school but I haven't decided what I want to do. It's between teaching Art and History, or something else.

In some ways we can all be teachers... If helping people out, sharing knowledge and setting good examples count.
-
Me, for one. But in our complex economy we have many intelligence-heavy jobs. Academic jobs are only one component. Also there are enormous numbers of very bright people who don't have degrees. I know many, many people who have developed their own extensive knowledge base without the advantage of much classroom study. Professors are good resources, but an academic environment contains so many smart people that a perceptive professor learns quickly not to be too full of himself. (I'm sure most people can think of some who are "over-degreed but under-educated," too.)
-
Just because someone is a "teacher" doesn't mean they are "highly intelligent", professors maybe... but I've been smarter then a few teachers in my day! I mean have you seen "Are you smarter then a fifth grader?" Some of the younger kids on here are genius! *I am studying to be a teacher so PLEASE noone take this as an insult because I would be insulting myself and some of my best friends

In the past I've taught maths to adults with learning difficulties on a voluntary basis. Great fun and one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. As there was no government interference based on the National Curriculum I was free to devise lessons based on who needed to learn what, not what statistics the state was demanding that month. I miss it.
-

Well I'm only new to the site and I'd have to agree, I happen to be a practicing middle school teacher although I am a qualified History and French teacher.

Not I. My grandparents on my mother's side were, though. My degree is in Mass Come/Radio-TV, and my profession for 25 years was a computer programmer. My hobbies include songwriting and poetry (been awhile), and writing, in general (see my website). Most of my knowledge comes through experience, knowledge gleaned from HOURS of shows like Phil Donohue, Montel Williams, Dr Phil and Oprah, and friends and family. CAN I teach? I don't know if I could work up a curriculum, but for things like AB, I think I do a decent job! ;-)

I am the professor of conservatism. Ronald Reagan was my teacher. I paid attention. He was a genius. I sure do miss him and I try very hard to relay the message. This makes me a teacher. I am a teacher of truth, values, generosity, and common sense. God Bless Ronald Reagan, my mentor, so to speak.

I've got her out-smarted though. I've prepared my wallet for handing to her, and have my gloves ready, to start doing chores on command. *blink* *blink* Oh.

17 say they are teachers here, but 16 lie. Me though, I'm a doctor of phoreo-ontological paleo-enthalogrpahy. In layman's terms that means...well, there is no layman's term. Well, you'll just have to believe me then.
