I don't see where it should matter how long the season is - a winning streak is a winning streak. 152, 154 or 162, who cares. The Cubs went 21 WINS in a row. The Giants only had a 14 game winning streak, followed by a tie (not a loss, but not a win either) The correct answer should be the Cubs.

Actually, the Toronto Blue Jays (the best baseball team of all time) one season had a 162 game win streak. This streak will never again be attainable again by the Blue Jays due to the fact that they released Frank Thomas, this man could switch hit/bunt homeruns, a legend forever. Behind this streak is the NY Giants. But in all honesty, the Jays totally dominate any other team.

You need to determine the length of the season in this question because otherwise the reds simply dominate... They were the first and only professional baseball team for a time and traveled playing other teams around the country. But it is and always was considered a professional team and therefore season.
