If you're in church, you probably shouldn't say it. You'll get some looks if you do. Or at least, I did the one and only time I said that in church. Outside of church, as long as you're not around highly religious individuals (and even some of them are okay with it), you should be okay. No... But it is a word obviously used to replace one... Think about it... Dang - D-mn Heck - H-ll Gosh - G-d Golly - G-d Gosh-dangit - G-d-D-mnit Freak or frick - F-ck Shoot - Sh-t Shinola - Sh-t Mother - Motherf-cker They're basically words that were either developed or commandeered to replace cuss words, even though most everyone KNOWS what you REALLY wanted to say.
