Yes, as part of a coast-to-coast tour of the USA (New York to San Francisco) in 1988. It was pretty impressive, although we didn't get to spend very long there.

Yes, with our RV. We did see Mount Rushmore, visited Crazy Horse monument ( in the making) and the Badlands of SD, observed the biker rally in Sturgis, and visited Devils Tower ( the 1. US Ntl. Monument in northeast Wyoming. That was in 2001.

Yes, and is worth the trip to see it at least once in your lifetime. I happened to be driving through as a truck driver so made a detour to see it. If you are a history person you can combined the trip with a drive into Montana and see the Little Bighorn battlefield as well.

Yes. My family is from Deadwood, but I have a bunch of relatives near MR, so we visited there and Crazy Horse..and some other places.

Yes. It was the only vacation my family ever took. I was about 12 or 13. Added several states to places I'd been on that one! It was ok, but I wouldn't make a special trip to see it again unless someone I cared about wanted me to go with them that hadn't seen it before.

Yes, back around 1987 my ex and I traveled through that area on vacation.
