I don't forbid them but I discourage them from eating it too often!
-
Forbid is too wrong of a word
-
no... But I do cook healthy foods for them. Its hard for me because I have one that is tall and really thin and one that takes after me and my side of the family and he is thick and stocky with a tendency to over eat. its hard to keep a balance when one can have anything he wants and the other can't.
-
No, they are allowed to have some.
-
I just set time frames none is allowed... like just before bed or right after she brushes her teeth
-
No not all Junk food is bad in small amounts but I never allowed Soda particularly Coke or Pepsi in my house.
-
recommend or educate them in the cons of eating fast food
-
No, I didn't forbid them from eating fast food or junk food. I cooked almost all of the time and I bought cookies but not lots of junk food. As adults, none of them are into junk food.
-
I don't have children yet, but I will encourage them to eat as healthy as possible. I might let them have fast food a couple times a month.
-
I don't ever forbid them. But I have taught them what makes for a wholesome food. So they stick to wholesome food almost all the time. A little junk for for taste thrills does no harm once in a while. This too the children know. We get along without any forbidding of any sort.

Yes. There is nothing in our house that has any of the following as ingredients. -------- MSG - Mono Sodium Glutamate HFCS - High Fructose Corn Syrup GMO - Genetically Modified. -------- Any one who cares for their children would be remiss in their duty as a parent if they did not fully research what goes into their children.

My mum didn't need to forbid me, I made that decision myself. I'm the health freak of the family. Mum & Dad love their chocolate too much. Lol :)
-
I never found it necessary to forbid them. I just always provided good, nutritious food, and spoke often of the advantages of that, over the other stuff. I had no control over them when they visited other people, so I had to simply rely on their good judgment and training.
-
No, moderation is key.
-
No,but I have restrictions.Such as how often and what time of day,no eating after 6pm usually.
-
Forbid, no. I do watch over them so they do not over indulge, but I do not tell them never. I do not follow such a pattern, it's a part of life to take the fun yet potentially bad things in moderation.
-
I don't forbid it, but it's not really something we have around so they don't have that option. As far as my son is concerned, junk food is a piece of toast with honey on it.
-
My teenage son IS a Big Mack. I don't mess with that.
-
I don't forbid any food, as anything that is forbidden is more appealing, everything in moderation is the best way.
-
I didn't forbid them, I just regulated the amount they ate.
-
I tell my daughter not to eat such junk.
-
i dont have kids but if i did i would let them do it in moderation
-
I don't have any children so I can say "It's all MINE mine mine" ! Lol
-
You can try, but if your kids are going to be let out into the world, by the time they're teens, you'll have lost that battle. If you're lucky, something will have stuck in their brains that will float back to the surface by the time they're 30.

I limited sweets. My son has ADD and my grandson has ADHD. I studied a bit and tried diet to help my grandson. Sugar was bad for him. His ears would even turn red after eating it! So I started packing a lunch every day and informed his teacher at school. He got permission for special celebrations and I was more lenient at home when his behavior was less disruptive to others. But I always cooked healthy meals and let him choose which two vegetables he wanted.

My daughter is 30 years old, but when she was little, absolutely. I don't think she had her firsts Happy Meal until about five years old, and even then I only let her have a few fries and the toy.
