I needed glasses at 15 so not sure I agree. Now the range of focus starts to deteriorate, ie the need for bi/tri focals.

It is getting worse...but has been for 30 years now.

I started needing reading glasses at age 43. That happens for the majority of people although some near sighted people never need glasses for reading or at least not until much older.

No way. After 40, the manufacturers start printing their instructions, labels, ingredients, and warnings in smaller texts. And the Store owners start lowering the lighting level in their stores just to make it difficult for you to read labels. And, your arms begin to shrink, making it necessary for you to hold anything you want to read at arms length. Hope this helps, it just gets worse from here out.

after 40...my eyes are shot....my hearing is shot...but other parts still work well....

After 40 I was glad I learned how to play trombone as a kid.

You get old your boddy changes, but always to worse... I know few people that ware glass for their entire life and stoped after certain age.

I never heard that word - "wonkie!!" but yes it's true - and if you don't wear them it gets worse!

there is not a set age for poor eyesight, but it can worsen with age

I'm sixteen and my eyesight is already worsening.

I've had glasses ever since I was 7 and I'm now 23 and can't distinguish a thing without them that is more than 14 inches away from my face. So it can happen wayyyy before that.

After 40, small print gets harder to see.

I have no idea if it is true for others, but after 40 I started needing glasses to read.

Yup..its all downhill from here basically :OP .. Do you know until i reached 40 i was fit and healthy, then all of a sudden bits started falling off, well not literally but you know what i mean lol .not 100% sure if my eyesight went at that point..they've never been very good :O)

After 40, you are more likely to experience vision changes. With age, the eyes start losing its ability to change shape, which is termed as Presbyopia. You might require to change your eyeglasses frequently.
