  • I am curious as to why you would not -- it is a manageable condition. If the pup is young, or the case is mild, just feed him/her smaller amounts, more often. If the case is severe, then surgery is required, but after the surgery, most dogs are fine for the rest of their lives. I gather from the fact you know the condition you have already been to the vet -- what did the vet say? Food management or surgery or...? If you really cannot bring yourself to pay for surgery, or just cannot afford it, then contact a small dog rescue organisation for help -- I am sure they will find the pup a new owner who can afford the treatment.
  • I thought from your other question that the dog belonged to a friend. If you don't want the dog, I will take him off your hands.
