You know how they say that negative people see the glass as half empty? They just need a refill, preferably some scotch, or even sake (sock-ee), if you are into that!

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called. ~A.A. Milne I love Pooh Bear.

My son is reading already. He's not even 3 yet. Last night he was looking at one of my magazines and chimed out with a couple of words I thought were random. I looked at the magazine though and he was pointing at them. He had just read words I never showed him! I'm so proud of him!!! He's been learning a lot from repetitive TV ads, and some of the dvds we play for him, but this was amazing. I'm rarely positive Miss Anubis, but my son really makes me happy sometimes.

Jocelyn Voltaire is an emigre from Haiti who has lived in this country for 45 years. She's a United States citizen, a college graduate, and the mother of four. She recently suffered the unbearable loss of her eldest son - a Marine who had served in the Gulf. Atop the unthinkable pain of losing a child, Jocelyne's Queens, New York home of twenty years was set to be auctioned on Friday (October 17th), due to a predatory lender scam. But miracles do happen!! Thanks to the brilliant work of independent media, which captured Jocelyn's story, and CODEPINK Women For Peace, who launched an appeal for funds to stop the auction, Jocelyn's home was saved. Miraculously, in one day, CODEPINK raised $30,000 from 650 patriots who stepped up to "spread THEIR wealth."

Reading people's seven things gratitude lists this morning was amazing. My most recent question really shows how many positive, happy people are on here. That absolutely made my day! In other positive news, it's almost the weekend! And I like you! And, my fish are still swimming happily!

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us. --Helen Keller How you think about a problem is more important than the problem itself. So always think positively. - NORMAN VINCENT PEALE I got tired of negative people recently, also. If at all possible, I stay away from them.
